Headlines: Chargers and Greyhounds collect wins in volleyball openers / Spurs to battle Dallas to open season, with another Christmas Day game queued up

Well if you missed the intensity of a volleyball game, don’t fret, the season is now officially underway. Both Boerne ISD high schools were in action last night. Let’s go to Southwest High School where Champion was- the game was a runaway with Champion sweeping the Dragons. The Greyhounds hosted Stevens and the crowd was all into it letting their Hounds feel the love. And it worked- Boerne High won the match in 3 sets. 

There’s a few things guaranteed this season for the Spurs- D’Aaron Fox is signed to a max contract, Wembanyama is back from his blood clot injury, and we know 2 games they’ll have this year. The opening game is against the Mavericks in Dallas, again on October 22. And for the 2nd year in a row, the Silver and Black will be in action on Christmas Day. They’ll be in Oklahoma City to renew their rivalry with the now defending NBA Champion OKC Thunder. The full schedule will be released tomorrow.
