This is Boerne Radio Sports…
We have some breaking news from Geneva and the search for their new football coach- it is over… the new coach come the fall will be Bob Rosenstiel, now former assistant coach for Geneva Football- he has been here the past 3 years. As for football IQ, he was a tight end who played for the Oakland Raiders and Kansas City Chiefs of the NFL, and then spent a small amount of time playing in other leagues. In a news post by Geneva, AD Trent Nesmith said, “His vision for developing our student-athletes, coupled with his impressive football pedigree, makes us incredibly optimistic about the future of Geneva Eagles football. We believe he will build a program that our entire community can be proud of.” Stay with us here on Boerne Radio Sports for more as we count down to the 2025 football season.
We turn now to other top news- how about the Geneva golf teams? Collectively their performances at the regional tournament earned the boys and girls their tickets to state. And that state tournament will commence next week.
And announced just yesterday, three Geneva soccer players earned All-District Honorable Mentions from TAPPS- Griffin Miller, Micah Briggs, and John Chisholm, way to go this season!
