Headlines: Champion and BHS runners round out 5A Regional Meet / Astros and Rangers finish respective weekend series

This is Boerne Radio Sports… I hope your Easter weekend was restful.

Let’s start today with results from the 5A Track and Field Meet at Heroes… the meet ran through Saturday. Caleb Dehart finished 2nd in the 800M race and he punched his ticket to state. Jamari Bowie from Champion won the 400M race to also qualify for state. The Charger girls also finished 4th in the 4x100 relay. Charlie Houck from Champion qualified for state in both the 3200M and 1600M races. Aaron Garcia from Boerne High came in 5th in the 1600M. The UIL State meet will be coming up in May.

Let’s take an updated look at our friends in the Major Leagues- the Astros and Rangers. The Astros lost on Sunday to the Padres, 3-2 but take the series 2 games to 1. The Rangers lost to the stacked LA Dodgers, 1-0 and lose the series 2 games to 1.
