Love Kendall County Kids was able to help students in need by giving out backpacks and supplies thanks to the generosity of local donations. They were able to give out 2,143 more items than they did in 2025. In total, they gave out 45,809 items.

In music news, it broke yesterday that Frank Beard - drummer from ZZ Top died at his Ranch in Richmond, Texas under hospice care surrounded by family.  When ZZ Top was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in March of 2004 his acceptance speech was short and sweet when he said “most of my life has been a pleasant surprise, and so is this. Thank you."   Frank Beard was born in Frankston, Texas on June 11th, 1949 - he was 77.
