Local Boerne-ite Katherine McDaniel has been appointed by Governor Greg Abbott to the 498th Judicial District Court in Kendall County. Currently she is the First Assistant District Attorney for the Kendall County Criminal District Attorney’s Office, as well as serves on the Texas Violent Gang Task Force. Additionally, she is a member of the State Bar of Texas, a steering committee member of the Kendall County Behavioral Health Advisory Coalition, and has presented nationwide about search and seizure laws. Her term begins now and will expire on New Years Eve 2026.
Change is coming to South Main Street as Texas Heritage Bank continues to combine with their new partners Liberty Capital Bank. Besides the street signage, and logos on letterhead, Texas Heritage Bank CEO Steve Mack also gets a new title as the Regional President of Liberty Capital Bank…and with that some new upgrades and services are also coming…

Liberty Capital Bank will be making the same changes with the Texas Heritage Bank off 1-10 near Ralph Fair Road.
The Gone But Not Forgotten Tour is coming back October 25th - a Saturday morning at the Boerne Cemetery…this is where about 10 or 12 Boerne actors portray a Boerne historical notable at their gravesite dressed in period pieces.
Actor Jay Pennington participates every year - last year playing the part of Fred Dodge who was a friend of Wyatt Earps, and says this year they need a few more actors…
