Today is Giving Tuesday built on the idea of radical generosity for end of year giving, and so we remind you again to consider our great partners and non-profits on Boerne Radio including The Cibolo Center For Conservation, Hill Country Family Services, Hill Country Animal League, and Hill Country Pregnancy Care Center.

And today is also Monay Boring’s Birthday!  She’s a rock star going into our Kendall County Jail System teaching life skills and behavior transformation courses - another worthy nonprofit known as Christian Journey Courses.

With the 1000’s of people at Dickens on Main you may have missed the station for Boerne Animal Care Services where $700 was raised, going towards the animals with food, comfort, and love to pets in waiting for their furrrever homes.  So while we continue with our Boerne Radio Tradition of the 12 Days of Christmas Contest, this year we’re also going to launch the 12 STRAYS of Christmas!  We’ll showcase a happy doggy every day starting next Monday and try to get one adopted in time for Christmas…and it’s thanks to the Hill Country Animal Emergency Hospital on Johns Road, and our dear friends at the Hill County Animal League.  And if you’d like to sponsor, call me, and if you’d like to adopt - don’t call…just show up at the Boerne Animal Care Services on Esser Road!

So while the next big Boerne Market Days is the weekend of the 13th and 14th in Main Plaza, this Friday from 12-1 the St. Nicholas Market hosted by the talented elementary students from St. John Lutherans School of Boerne. Over the past semester, these kids have been learning about economics and now putting it into practice.  For sale they will have homemade salsas and jams, festive tea towels, cozy travel pillows, candles, handcrafted nativities, and more.   And these kids have a policy and it’s pretty strict…CASH ONLY!
