It’s Graduation Day for Champion High School and if the thunderstorm this morning was all we get today then the ceremony will still be in Boerne ISD Stadium tonight at 8.  Plan B is tomorrow morning at 8.

Friday’s Boerne High School graduation ceremony has officially moved indoors. The ceremony will still begin at 8, but will now take place at the Northside ISD Sports Gym. District officials say the change was made to ensure the safety and comfort of students, families, and staff. Parents and graduates can expect additional details from Principal Wilson later today. 

Boerne ISD announced that four of its elementary school student leadership teams have been selected as recipients of the Student Leadership Awards by TEPSA. Across the state, only 167 Pre-K through 8 student leadership teams were chosen for this honor-Boerne ISD got a nod for Cibolo Creek, Fabra, Curington and Herff. The four teams spearheaded impactful initiatives including literacy programs, kindness campaigns, student mentoring, and community service projects for local families and veterans. 

So the names are out for the wild Texas Wives of Boerne - it’s Aaryn Williams, Ashlee Nichols, Alli McAnelly, Arrari, Gabby Huffman, Amanda Watters, and Hailey Head…

And here’s a surprise…There are a few people around town who are not happy with a reality TV show filming here in Boerne. As of this morning, a petition opposing the show had 577 signatures on Change.org, citing the amplification of personal dramas, romanticizing conflicts and skewed perspectives on the town as main reasons why.
