View descriptionShare

It’s Thursday April 30th.

Happy birthday to Kristin Burford - Adult Ministries Pastor at Cibolo Creek Community Church, Kirk Riggs serving over at Hill Country Pregnancy Care Center, and Rick Hutcherson with Core Branding and the father-in-law to your pastor over at the Bridge.

I’m Baron Wiley.

Programming alert - Boerne ISD Baseball Playoffs begin today and we have you covered here on Boerne Radio and Texas Sports Productions.

We’re going to carry the Boerne Greyhound away game first as they are on the road to face Cedar Park - our coverage begins at 2:45 with first pitch at 3, and then we’ll join the Champion home game in progress against Hays here in Boerne - that game will be streaming at texassportsproductions.com.  Special thanks to State Farm Agent Travis Slaydon, and our brand-new sponsor

Aligned Medical Billing Group - they help independent medical practices improve cash flow and increase revenue. They say If we can’t increase your revenue by 20%, then dinner is on us! Call Jamie Murray at (210) 307-7771. AlignedMedicalBilling Group.com.

Two Champion High School seniors have been awarded scholarships from the Kendall County Fair Association. Reese Voulgaris and Jonathan Hulce will each receive one thousand dollars through the Homestead Heritage Exhibit Hall Scholarship. Voulgaris plans to study agricultural business at Blinn College, while Hulce will pursue a pre-med track at Texas A&M.

And today is Adopt a Shelter Pet Day and if today is the day of your new pet’s salvation, remember our friends at Boerne Animal Care Services, Charming Pet Rescue, and Heart of Texas SPCA in Fair Oaks Ranch.

Bonus note:  Fawning season is about to start, which means cute tiny spotted fawns will soon be tucked into tall grass around yards, greenbelts, and trails. This doesn’t mean if you see one alone in that tall grass they do not need to be rescued…Does leave their fawns hidden for hours on end while they feed.  Just enjoy their beauty and be careful when driving through tree-lined areas, especially at dusk and dawn.
