It was on this date in 1912 when the RMS Titanic struck an iceberg that broke off from a glacier.  It was 23 minutes before midnight and sank at 2:20 am.  15 hundred and 17 of the 2 thousand 2 hundred 38 people were killed in the biggest peacetime sinking ever.  The last living survivor, Millvina Dean from Englan,d was the youngest passenger on board.  She died at the age of 97 in 2009.  She had no memory of the event because she was only 9 weeks old.

Last Thursday, Judge Kirsten Cohoon dropped the gavel on Kacie Lynn Paulk, who was sentenced to 4 years of confinement in the Texas Department of Criminal Justice Institutional Division for embezzling over $60,000 from Brady’s Auto Repair here in Boerne.  She forged 57 checks made out to herself over 17 months.  The Boerne Police Department got involved when owner Mark Beldon discovered that she was methodical in the plot and had done it before in Corpus Christi in 2006.  Here’s Brady’s Auto Repair owner, Mark Beldon.
