It’s Friday May 23rd.

And it was on this date in 1934 that Texas outlaws Bonnie Parker and Clyde Barrow were gunned down led by Texas Ranger Frank Hamer on a rural road in Louisiana.  Bonnie and Clyde met in Dallas in January of 1930 - she was 19, he was 21. Clyde tattooed USN for the US Navy before he even applied, but was rejected for medical reasons...

Memorial Day is on Monday with the ceremony at the Boerne Cemetery starting at 11, but we honor the military and country every day in Boerne and on Boerne Radio.  Did you see that KSAT 12 was in Boerne on Wednesday over at Herff Elementary covering the story of the sweet surprise waiting for 6-year-old Lorelai graduating from Kindergarten when her father  Staff Sergeant Darius Howard arrived with flowers and open arms who has been in the Middle East on a combat missed since  June of last year.  You can watch the video from KSAT as we have a direct link in the news blog at boerneradio.com

So did you get some rain last night?  The Boerne Greyhound Graduation ceremony was staged and ready to go in the stadium but lightning protocol said game over…everyone come back at 9 today for round 2.  The Champion Charger baseball team is playing at 1 today - so they can shower and get cleaned up to graduate tonight.  They lost in the 9th inning with a score of 1-0 against Liberty Hill.  If they win today, Game 3 is tomorrow afternoon at 2.

Special shout out to the Valedictorians and Salutatorians of the Class of 2025. Congratulations to Boerne’s own Felix Theiss and Haley Harrison, and Champion’s Corey Cook and Ana Trevino.
