And it was on this date in 1992 that Johnny Carson performed his last tonight show after 3 decades. The theme song was written by Paul Anka, and it was played on his first show just like the last.
Boerne ISD has purchased a 70-acre tract of land just South of Town, which could be used to build a new school or athletic facility in the years to come. The District announced the purchase of the plot just off of I-10 yesterday in a press release, describing how it was an investment in the future of students, teachers and the community. BISD leaders emphasized that community input will be a vital part of determining how the land will be utilized, especially as master planning begins in the coming months.
Kim Grosenbacher was recently awarded the Mirabeau B. Lamar Medal of Excellence in Education by the Kendall Masonic Lodge, which is the highest honor the Masons give to Texas Educators. The Government Teacher was described by a former student as dedicated to serving students, standing firm in her principles and leading with Wisdom, Grit and Heart.
