After the fall of the Alamo in 1836, General Santa Anna’s army marched East to Goliad where on this date about 350 Texan prisoners were executed which is why the battle cry at San Jacinto was “Remember The Alamo, Remember Goliad!”
Tomorrow morning crews from the City of Fair Oaks Ranch will test the flood gates installed on Rolling Acres Trail at the Post Oak Creek crossing from 10:30 to noon. While the gates are down you’ll have to find another way but Fairs Oaks finest will be out directing traffic.
On Tuesday Sheriff Auxier joined sheriffs from across the great state of Texas at the Capitol, where the Senate passed a resolution recognizing March 25th as Texas Sheriffs’ Association Day! This Saturday morning The Kendall County Sheriff’s Office along with the Boerne Police Department, the Boerne Fire Department, the Fair Oaks Ranch Police Department - all first responders will be hanging out at Brevity Coffee from 9 to 11 with the mission to remove agendas, ask questions, and know the folks that have our backs. Brevity Coffee is on Bandera Road right behind the Dairy Queen.
