A Couple of Boerne Radio Artists with birthdays today Reginal Dwight was born on this date in 1947…making Elton John 76 today.  And the late Aretha Franklin - the queen of soul was born on this date in 1942.

More winning in the theater world of Boerne ISD. Boerne High School’s theater department performed the One Act Play The Ballad of Maria Marten at the Bi-District competition. The cast and crew were crowned Champion.  They are moving on to the Area contest. 

Champion High School Theatre performed Victor Hugo’s  “The Hunchback Of Notre Dame” and clutched the District Championship for the fifth time in a row. They are now advancing to Bi-District. 

And congratulations to Caris Patrick. The Senior at Boerne High is heading to the Joci Awards, which is the biggest High School Theatre competition in San Antonio and surrounding areas. She will be competing in the acting category and is up for multiple scholarships when the Joci’s occurs in May. 

The Boerne Chamber of Commerce has another full week leading up to Good Friday, starting with a ribbon cutting for Citgo Lubricants of CITGO Premium Oil on Tuesday morning at 11:30 am at the Chamber. In the afternoon they will be heading to Centerline Engineering and Consulting for their ceremony at 1:30 - they are behind the Sonora Bank on River Road. Rise Property Group is getting their ribbon cutting on Thursday at 11:30 and will be the last one for the week as The Chamber will be closed for Good Friday.
