Anne Murray was born in 1945, and today is also Lionel Richie’s Birthday as he turns 76 born on this date in 1949 - and the musical genius who passed away 9 days ago...the late great Brian Wilson of the Beach Boys born on this date in 1942.

Happy first day of summer…the longest day of the year…the sun popped up at 6:35 this morning and will set in the west at 8:39 tonight.  And a tradition continues at Dairy Queen today with a buy one get one promotion.  Family Kite Day happens tomorrow starting at 9AM at Boerne City Lake - and Market Days is back in Main Plaza…that event usually falls on the 2nd weekend of each month, but they graciously moved to this weekend so that Das Festival could fall on Father’s Day Weekend…how cool is that.

Tapatio Springs will be the home….the sanctuary for the 2nd annual Pastors Masters Golf Tournament…hosted by Boerne Radio…

The idea is for Boerne and Kendall County Pastors in ear shot of Boerne Radio to enjoy a day of golf with fellow pastors, fathers, padres, shepherds, and other dudes and chicks saved by grace.  It’ll happen on Monday August 4th with an early start before it becomes hellish, and lunch will be provided indoors thank God…pastors will also receive a special goodie bag as a blessing to them.  Special thanks to our first sponsor in Texas Heritage Bank.  If you’d like to sponsor your pastor to play or would like to play with your own team - please reach out to me at Boerne Radio and we’ll pass the plate and honor our pastors at Tapatio Springs.

The Hill Country Pregnancy Center received a generous $10,000 donation from The Sister Project this past week. The organization is a group of 100 women living in San Antonio and Boerne who award annual grants to ministries helping women in the name of Jesus. On top of blessing the Pregnancy Care Center with the check, they prayed over the non-profit and those they impact every day.
