And if you think the Presidential headlines that change everyday is crazy today, the headline on this date in 1973 was US President Richard Nixon refuses to release the tapes to the Watergate Special Prosecutor as ordered by the U.S. Supreme Court.

But here’s the bright side…just 5 more months to Christmas. 

Fabra Elementary School is going to look bright and colorful by the time the kids are heading back to school, mostly due to the work done by The Hill Country Chapter of Texas Master Naturalists. They were challenged to create a pollinator garden for the school. By the first day of school, it will be teaming with flowers and beautiful butterflies as a welcome back to the Fabra students.

The Kendall County Commissioner’s Court has approved over $400,000 to save hundreds of acres of land from development, whether commercial or housing. This comes as an extension of Prop A, which was approved in November of 2022. The intention of the Proposition is to set aside almost $20 million in order to conserve as much of the Hill Country as possible. The Hill Country Pregnancy Care Center is looking for donations for their Boutique, which allows new mothers to get brand new maternity and baby items. They are currently looking for new sippy cups, bibs, pacifiers, toddler shoes and clothing for babies and toddlers. If you are able to help, you can deliver the items to their Hill Country Pregnancy Care Center Admin office at 439 Fabra St.
