Alison Krauss celebrates her 52nd birthday today, along with Country Singer songwriter Bri Bagwell who was just at the Free Roam last week here in Boerne…she turns 36.



So how much rain did you get last night?  Some rain gages are already showing 2 inches, but the real gage is the Cibolo Creek as we still have a good chance for more rain the rest of this week.   Several Hill Country pockets lost power for several hours due to some lightning strikes.  Special thanks to our Boerne Utility Teams working after hours.  Also enjoy highs in the lower 80s this week, and lows in the upper 60s. The Kendall County Office of Emergency Management wants to remind you that in the case of a flooded roadway, it’s better to turn around and not drown. Even if the water is only a few inches deep, the force of the water could easily overtake your car. Also be vigilant at night, especially on unfamiliar roads.



Although it’s against one of the Ten Commandments, lying can get you pretty far sometimes. If you have a knack for spinning tall tales, you may want to sign up for the annual Kendall County Liars Contest. The battle for Best Liar will take place tomorrow night at 7 in the Patrick Health in the Community Room.   The event is free and family friendly.
