And born on this date in 1947 in Gilmer Texas - Grammy winning drummer, singer, and founding member of the Eagles - Mr. Don Henley.  The Eagles were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1998 and are the highest selling American band in history.  The Eagles have 20 dates reserved this Fall in the Sphere in Las Vegas.

2 weeks ago the burn ban came back to Kendall County after the 4th of July weekend, and just like that with these surprise pop up showers and thunderstorms as of last Friday, Kendall County has declared the burn ban is back off as it looks like we have rain in the forecast everyday this week. 

The Boerne Chamber of Commerce has a busy week ahead of them, including 3 exciting ribbon cuttings for local businesses. Tomorrow, the Chamber will celebrate Benitez Irrigation in their conference room at 11:30, then will welcome Positivity With Purpose Coaching for their ceremony at 1:30. Finally on Thursday is the Grand Opening of DeVino Cellars on Main Street next to the Pink Pig. Their ribbon cutting will take place at 4 pm, but guests are invited to stay after for wine. 

At the last Boost Boerne Business networking event we got a glimpse of the brand new book that was six years in the making called Replenishing Our Hills:  Protecting Lands In the Heart of the Hill Country by Brent Evans of the Cibolo Center with 300 original Hill Country pictures by John Freud.   Their first book signing will happen on August 1st from 5 to 7 in the Gathering Hall at Herff Farm.
