While the volleyball season for the Geneva Eagles didn’t exactly go the way they wanted- there’s always room for improvement and to celebrate the good- 7 players have been revealed to have received honors. Taylor Locke, Maggie Deimund, and Ruby Svendsen received all-district honorable mentions. 

Earning all-district second team is Emma Hager. Earning all-district second team and academic all-state are Hailey Hager, Sopris Olgesby, and Kendall Sehlke. 

The Champion way award at Champion HS is one chosen by teachers for good character and commitment in the classroom. Torin Tucker and Tatum Cruz were chosen from the softball team as the recipients. 

Update on A&M volleyball: all they had to do was beat Pittsburgh and they will play for a national title. In an easy sweep of 3 sets, the Aggies advanced to the national championship game. On the other side, Kentucky and Wisconsin went the distance to 5 sets, but in the end, Kentucky pulled it off. (3-2) Sunday at 2:30 is the match for all the marbles between the Kentucky Wildcats and the Texas A&M Aggies.
