It’s Wednesday December 4th. 

Born on this date in 1944 was the late Dennis Wilson, the middle brother of the Beach Boys who drowned in Marina Del Rey at the age of 39. He served as the drummer and baritone for the band, and was the only true surfer amongst the group. 

Last night at Tapatio Springs was the check presentation for the Michael J. Fox Parkinson’s Foundation and Parkinson’s Research and every year the bar has been raised.  Here’s The Swing Strong Till It’s Gone - Chair and organizer Barry Halbert.

Barry went on to say this effort puts Boerne on the map as out of 500 fundraisers this one makes Swing Strong one of the top 10 donors in the country which gets them to the national gala in New York but back at home it’s to help a real hero to golfers in Boerne in everyone’s friend in Sean Jahr.

That number again is 210-259-5622 - Sean - you are a hero for your fight - here’s a guy who would commonly hit a great tee shot and after everybody watched it land, Sean would already be getting off the ground from falling…he is the definition of swing strong until it’s gone.  And they are already planning the next tournament for May in 2025 where the goal will be $200,000. 

The Boerne Star reported on the Boerne Planning and Zoning Commission meeting that took place on Monday, The planned 200-plus home development received a thumbs down Monday from the Commission, denying D.R. Horton’s request to allow for higher density construction. Because The Birch at Spencer Ranch will be zoned within the city, classification requires a minimum lot size of 5,400 square feet. Under an R2-N zoning classification, only 145 of the Spencer Ranch lots would conform to zoning restrictions. You can read more in today’s Boerne Star.
