Congressman Chip Roy was in Boerne yesterday as the main speaker for the Kendall County Republican Club at the Nelson City Dance Hall.   Before that he popped into the Boerne Star and met with Managing Editor Jeff Flinn for a quick interview.  You’ll read all about it in the next edition of The Boerne Star.

Hill Country Family Services has announced they are back for the 3rd year in a row tackling the tough topics with the help of St. Mark Presbyterian Church, and Boerne ISD.  It’s Called Seize the Awkward and it’s coming up on Wednesday September 20th at the Boerne Public Library Amphitheater.  It’s a free event for the community with pizza, iced tea, and a special presentation on Drug and Substance Abuse Awareness.  Parents bring your teens…teens bring your parents - the talk is real and raw - and will make your family relationships better with open communication.  You can contact Hill Country Family Services for more information at HCFSTX.org - 830-249-8643.
