If today is your birthday, happy birthday!  Famous people that share your birthday include Henry the Fifth born in 1086, he became the Holy Roman Emperor, Hall of Fame Member of the WWE Hulk Hogan was born in 1953 and died just 18 days ago, he would have been 72, and NBA Champion with the 2014 Spurs Patty Mills was born in 1988.  Patty Mills will play his 16th year of professional basketball with former Spurs Kawhi Leonard, and Chris Paul on the Los Angeles Clippers this year.

Two weeks ago Boerne Radio broke the news about the two losers who broke into the same Boerne Metro Stop Convenience Store that sold the $5Million Lottery Ticket and stole all the top tier lottery tickets.  Well, the front-page story in the Boerne Star over the weekend was the news the two were taken into custody last Thursday here in Boerne.  In fact, they had several active warrants from Bexar County.  Last week they were staking out the Shell Station on Plant Street and Blanco at about 1am Thursday, and an officer on patrol noticed their car with no license plates, so when he rolled up, they took off.  They only got to Ebensberger Avenue before they pulled over, and the rest you know. 34 year old Pete Reyna of San Antonio has 6 charges and bail set at $195K, his partner 36-year-old Christopher Cruz of San Antonio has bond set at $50K with more charges coming with their confession of the Metro Stop break-in.  Reyna and Cruz…you’re no Bonnie and Clyde.

Tomorrow is the first day of school for Boerne ISD, so make sure you plan your commute with the added traffic expected.  Last Friday was the Boerne ISD Convocation where all of Boerne ISD Teachers, Coaches, and Leaders jammed into Oak Hills Church - did you know Boerne ISD employs over 1700 people, making them the largest employer in Kendall County.  There was plenty to celebrate with over a dozen state and national awards in the last year, a 99% graduation rate, and sweetly Educator Ms Terry Owens was honored by former student and bestie Samual McGee for serving our kids.
