🚔 ICYMI: Frederick County Sheriff Chuck Jenkins Joins the Morning News Express

Bob Miller welcomed Frederick County Sheriff Chuck Jenkins to the Morning News Express for a wide-ranging conversation about public safety, data centers and his campaign to remain Frederick County sheriff.

Much of the discussion focused on what Jenkins described as the mishandling of data-center development from the beginning. He criticized the way the county government has handled the issue and predicted that County Council members who supported data centers and their expansion will be voted out in November.

Jenkins also discussed whether additional funding will be provided to cover the overtime worked by sheriff’s deputies assigned to protect data-center construction sites.

The sheriff also addressed public safety across Frederick County. Jenkins said the county continues to be an incredibly safe place to live under his leadership, pointing to that record as one of the main reasons he wants voters to keep him in office this November.
