Bob McLain started in radio as a part time weekend DJ at WEAM in Washington,
DC at age 15 while in high school, and he’s been at WORD since June of
2006. Bob has worked at many legendary Top 40 stations in the “Golden
Age” of rock and roll, the 60’s and 70’s. Markets include New York
City, Washington, DC, Dallas, Memphis, Sacramento, San Francisco, Phoenix and
more. In addition, Bob worked in TV for 20 years as a sportscaster,
weathercaster and news anchor. Bob enjoys talking with people about
significant issues every day. He doesn’t talk down to listeners and
welcomes callers with differing views. He allows people time to have their
say. When he's not talking about the issues that affect the Upstate, South
Carolina, or America, Bob is probably on the golf course or piddling around
the house with his "Baby Doll" Brenda and their West Highland White Terrier
