The Conservative government is vetoing Scotland's Gender Recognition Reform bill. Mercedes Villalba, a Labour member of the Scottish Parliament who voted in favour of the legislation, says the objection is an attack on devolution and a distraction from the Tories' economic failure and "mischief making".
