Mexico’s Foreign Minister Roberto Velasco Álvarez said he’s “cautiously optimistic” about his country’s ongoing trade talks with the US. After US-Canada trade negotiations collapsed last month, Mexico has been looking for its own deal with Washington to reduce tariffs on major Mexican exports including cars and metals. Speaking to Bloomberg News's David Gura on Friday, Velasco tells him, "we continue to have positive engagements. We don’t have yet an agreement."
