Barclays CEO CS Venkatakrishnan says that the extreme specter of AI does not take away the value of its "mainstream capabilities," while speaking with Bloomberg's Dani Burger at the Barclays Global Financial Services Conference in New York. Venkatakrishnan says that his firm is working to train people for different jobs so they can prepare for a future where AI increases efficiency. He also says that Federal Reserve policymakers need to respond to "the persistency of inflation" and doing so on the front end would better help in the long run.
