In a moderated discussion Friday morning in Bangkok at the International Monetary Fund’s annual meetings, Warsh made no remarks on monetary policy or his outlook for the US economy, apart from reiterating that the Fed will deliver price stability.
2) Republican Senator Dan Sullivan emphasized where he differs from Donald Trump, just days after the president headlined an Alaska rally for his embattled reelection campaign.At a debate Thursday with Democratic challenger Mary Peltola, Sullivan distanced himself from Trump on issues including Ukraine and healthcare, showing how even Republicans with strong White House ties are navigating voter dissatisfaction with some administration policies.
3) President Donald Trump declined to rule out using a weapon known as the “Mother of all Bombs” on Iran after the US midterm elections.“Well the mother of all bombs is not nuclear,” Trump said in an interview with Newsmax broadcast on Thursday night. “It’s not nuclear at all, just an extremely large bomb. It’s like a tiny nuclear bomb. But the mother of all bombs is one big bomb, but it’s not nuclear,” Trump said.
