Nvidia is the dominant supplier of processors used to develop and run AI models, making it the biggest bellwether of the artificial intelligence economy. The White House is working on a formal order that will increase the global tariff rate to 15%, according to an administration official. The timeline for implementing that higher levy has not been finalized, said the official, who spoke on the condition of anonymity to discuss private matters.
