Asian bonds declined and the dollar remained under pressure after a rally in Treasuries faded, with investors betting that US efforts to contain long-term borrowing costs through buybacks may offer only a temporary reprieve. We speak to David Finnerty, Bloomberg's FX and Rates Strategist.

And - Alibaba Group Holding Ltd.'s profit plunged more than 75% after the company increased quarterly capital spending to almost $10 billion to safeguard its position in the global AI arena. Even so, Alibaba shares rose after the the company reported accelerating cloud revenue growth and better margins that offset fears over its AI spending.
