View descriptionShare

Scott Goldman, co-founder of Athletic Intelligence Measures, discusses a host of issues related to the business of sports, including his company's attempt to evaluate an athlete's intelligence as it pertains to predicting his or her performance on the field. Goldman also talks about what pro and college teams are looking for when it comes to evaluating potential players, and how intelligence evaluation has changed over the years. Goldman also talks about what, if anything, athletes can do to improve their intelligence score.

Goldman works with teams in all four of the major U.S. sports leagues. He has served as a clinical and performance psychologist in the athletic departments of major college sports programs, including Michigan and Arizona. He is the creator of the Athletic Intelligence Quotient (AIQ), a test that assesses the innate abilities that are most utilized in sports.
