What would you do if helping your child fit in meant keeping a major secret from your spouse?

This week's Dirty Little Secret had listeners completely divided when a mother admitted she secretly helped her college-aged daughter get a fake ID without telling her husband. While she believed she was protecting her daughter from feeling left out among older friends, she knew her husband would never approve. What started as a seemingly harmless favor quickly turned into a bigger conversation about parenting, trust, and where the line should be drawn between protecting your children and enabling bad decisions. Is it ever okay to keep a secret from your partner for the sake of your child? And are parents tougher on daughters than they are on sons?

The confession sparked passionate reactions from listeners, with opinions ranging from "mom was just looking out for her daughter" to "she completely crossed the line." One thing was certain: nobody could agree on the right answer.
