HAMBASSADORS #11: Hamilton’s Most Legendary Pub Crawl, The 12 Pubs of Xmas

Dave Wood is best known as being Israel Adesanya’s breathing and mindset coach – and was one of our favourite, and most popular, guests in 2023.

He runs a two-day Calm Under Pressure workshop in Piha and the course – and his work has a strong connection to the show.

Steve went on it last year, it’s where he was inspired by Jemarl Paerata’s story and we had him on the show as a guest – and this month Seamus attended it.

We spend the first 15 mins in this one unpacking the weekend and what Seamus got from it, before digging into what Dave’s been up to for the last year.

We talk about the incredible growth and success of his business, the key to finding balance in a busy life, the importance of being selfish – and prioritizing yourself, how he helped the world’s best squash player, training the Warriors and why understanding the impact of your thinking, emotions and actions is pivotal to achieving personal growth.

Her head-turning 90 second performance as Officer O’Leary led to the lead role in comedy spin-off series Wellington Paranormal, a show that is broadcast around the world in 70 countries.

Then last year she made the switch to current events, and won the coveted Best Presenter of Entertainment award for her work on Paddy Gower has Issues on Newshub, months before it was announced the show would not be returning.

In this episode we talk about her unique career path and all the best stories along the way, her reaction to Newshub shutting down and whats next, getting naked with Jermaine Clement, why her nickname is little bush, the best of Officer O’Leary and much much more.
