Wednesday, August 5, 2026: Ten years ago, Ithaca College men's lacrosse put together one of the greatest seasons in program history, becoming the first team to reach 20 wins while climbing to No. 1 in the USILA poll. Leading the Bombers' defense was Ithaca native Eli Gobrecht, who earned Empire 8 Player of the Year honors and was named the William C. Stiles Memorial Outstanding Defensive Player of the Year in Division III. A three-time All-American, Gobrecht finished his career with 17 goals, 266 ground balls and 166 caused turnovers. 

He joins Between the Lines to reflect on his remarkable career, discuss his professional lacrosse journey - which continues today - and preview his induction into the Ithaca College Athletic Hall of Fame on October 9th.

The induction ceremony is set for Friday, October 9. Joe Palladino, the team's captain and standout safety, joins the show to reflect on the championship season, what it took to win a national title, and what it was like playing for legendary Hall of Fame head coach Jim Butterfield.
