Friday, October 2, 2026: ESPN Ithaca's Community Gamechangers recognizes individuals throughout the Finger Lakes who have made an impact in our sports community.
For more than four decades, Geoff Wright has been a dedicated contributor to the local sports community, with a lasting connection to both Ithaca College baseball and Lansing athletics. A former Ithaca College baseball player and captain, Geoff returned to the program he loved, spending years helping support its players, coaches, and continued success.
Beyond the baseball field, Geoff has played an important role in preserving and celebrating Lansing’s athletic history through his work with the Lansing Central School Athletic Hall of Fame. As chairman of the selection committee, he has helped recognize generations of athletes, coaches, teams, and contributors whose accomplishments and impact deserve to be remembered.
Through his time, knowledge, and commitment to giving back, Geoff has helped strengthen the connection between local sports and the communities they represent. His decades of involvement reflect a genuine appreciation for the people, programs, and traditions that make Ithaca and Lansing special - and a belief in the importance of making sure those stories continue to be passed on.
