The Motor Trade Association have launched a pre-election call to action.

Their big call includes phasing out the Clean Car Discount, Warrant of Fitness reset, mandate emissions testing and streamlining immigration processes.

Chief Executive Lee Marshall told Mike Hosking the rebate is currently running at a huge loss.

He says the scheme is currently sat in a $200 million hole and despite claims it's self funding, recently received a $400 million top-up.
