Spark's full year financial report reveals a 91 percent jump in net profit to $499 million. 

The telco's also cut 627 staff due to a mix of falling demand and AI use. 

At the same time, CEO Jolie Hodson received a $859,000 bonus and a pay bump from $1.27 million dollars to $1.31 million. 

She says it's based on performance, and she didn't get a bonus during the 2024-2025 financial year because company goals weren't met.

Over in Australia, the Reserve Bank is set to make their next announcement about the OCR in the coming days - and speculation indicates it will go up again.

Australia's official cash rate is currently at 4.35 percent, but the RBA will be putting it up at least one more time this year, according to one expert.

HSBC chief economist Paul Bloxham outlined his predictions further.

The sport and athleisure company has seen some challenges, including football star Kylian Mbappé's recent departure from the brand to an industry rival.

Streetwear influencer Adrian Daniel says it's normal for brands to see their days in the sun and then drop off, but Nike's fall is unusual. 

"You kind of wouldn't expect it from a giant like they are."
