The company formerly known as Vodafone celebrated their first day of trading as One NZ.

To mark the occasion, One NZ has also unveiled details of a new partnership with Elon Musk-owned Starlink to provide 100 percent mobile coverage to New Zealand.

One NZ CEO Jason Paris says this partnership will be rolled out some time in 2024, starting as a text service with voice and data capability to follow.

"In 2024, through working with SpaceX, New Zealanders will have mobile coverage way out to our territorial boundary no matter where they are. Pretty awesome."
