New Zealand dairy companies are cashing in on a surge in global demand for bioactive proteins found in cow's milk, namely whey, off the back of the surge in weight-loss drugs.
Demand for whey powder in the US is soaring and Rabobank has reported high demand for high-protein yoghurt and dairy drinks.
The Country's Jamie Mackay explained further.
