Well, the message today from SEED NORTHERN RIVERS is:

A regenerative Northern Rivers is not a distant dream.

It’s already being visioned and developed by a bunch of dedicated individuals, organisations, and communities who are blessed enough to call this place home.

These changemakers are restoring landscapes, strengthening food systems, and weaving the fabric of resilient communities. But they can’t do it alone.

Representing Seed Northern Rivers on the show this morning we’ll soon be welcoming Techa Beaumont Director and Simon Jankleson Partnerships and Strategies pro to the show.

Seed NR stand alongside the changemakers amongst us —as a catalyst, a connector, and a backbone organisation—empowering the leaders, networks, and movements that are regenerating this region.

Their organisation currently works with and supports an ecosystem of 40+ not-for-profit environmental organisations, social enterprises and initiatives, they’re all listed on their website and there are many, which cover four thematic impact areas:

  • Healing Country (Regeneration and Reforestation)
  • The Future of Food
  • Education and Creative Activation
  • Stronger Together (Community Resilience and Climate Action)

This past year Seed NR have done so much

  • Supported their members through mentoring, peer networks, communities of practice, skills development and training, as well as business, governance, fundraising and technical support.
  • Continued to activate and manage the 7-acre Mullum Gardens Eco-Hub, which incubates a range of environmental initiatives
  • Launched and continue to collaborate with their member organisations including the
    • Bruns River Keepers Alliance
    • Northern Rivers Changemakers Hub
    • Northern Rivers Food Systems Alliance // Northern Rivers Regenerative Food System Coalition

Needless to say, we have a lot to catch up on including an update on the Seed Giving Circle launched last time they were on the show and hear how the work on the Eco-hub is coming along, all wrapped in a delicious invitation to a spectacular community event!
