I've interviewed Steven Van Zandt several times and I always hear a story that I've never heard before.  In part 2 of our conversation, he discusses leaving the E Street Band in the 1980's to pursue his music and politics, including the anti apartheid anthem Sun City.  We also discuss the notion of "Before The Cheering Resumed," the years in between the first blush of fame and the popularity of The Sopranos and the reunion of Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band, when Steven spent much of the 1990's walking his dog near his apartment in New York.  This episode is part of a conversation that we held last year as Steven was putting the finishing touches on his compelling memoir, "Unrequited Infatuations."
