When Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. spoke at San Francisco's Grace Cathedral

View descriptionShare

To celebrate MLK Day and the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr, Bay Current host Matt Pitman chats with someone who was there as an 18 year old in the choir, when an estimated five thousand Bay Area residents gathered at San Francisco's Grace Cathedral to see Dr. King deliver a sermon on March 28, 1965.  57 years later Michael Lampen is still at Grace Cathedral, where he has served as the official archivist since 1982.

Watch Dr. King's 1965 speech at Grace Cathedral.
