Democrats took back control of Washington D.C. from Republicans in 2020 thanks in large part to a series of campaign promises - with paid leave being one of the biggest.  But they haven't been able to make it happen, thanks to a pair of Democrats in the U.S. Senate.  Speaker of the House of Representative is keeping the fight alive and her San Francisco constituents have her back.
