A lot longer than King Edward II managed to last, as in 1327 he fell victim within its walls to one of the most brutal murders of any monarch throughout history... This place is decked out with an assortment of trip steps, arrow slits, murder holes, enormous bar doors and port colossus that would give even the kid from home alone at run for his money.
