Chatgpt is all the rage in the tech world seemingly becoming a thing overnight? It's time to explore ten useful ways humans use Chatgpt a language model trained by OpenAI. From answering questions to generating text, offering recommendations and providing customer service chat, GPT is a versatile tool that can assist you with almost anything scary, right? We'll be delving into the specifics of each use case, including language, translation, education and training, creative writing, research assistants and of course, entertainment. Whether you're a student looking for help with homework, a writer struggling with writer's block or a professional looking for a personal assistant, Chatgpt has something to offer. All this and more on episode number two of the Bad AI show.
In Binary, the number two is represented as one zero. Most of these people don't even understand binary. How the heck are they going to understand artificial intelligence? I mean, what.
The who's bad?
Hey, it's the bad I show. Joel, Come here, Travis. Right there. And today we're going to talk about Chatgpt.
Yes, it is the fastest growing technology of all time. It got to a million users quicker than anything ever.
Amazing. It's a product of OpenAI. OpenAI is the official site creating safe, artificial general intelligence that benefits all of humanity, hopefully. And they're doing a lot of stuff in the AI space. But chatgpt is their their the tool that they've created that interacts in a conversational way. What can you talk to chat GPT about? Well, just about everything and anything. Now, to be clear, Travis Chatgpt has basically documented the entire web up through the end of 2021. So you couldn't talk to it about, for example, the war in Ukraine, Right? It would it doesn't know.
Anything about that. It probably also doesn't know anything about the great crypto crash of 2021, 22. That's okay.
It would be sad if it knew.
That it still thinks nfts are huge. Matter of fact. So do you guys actually bored apes? I don't think I'd even come out when these came out. So we'll see.
That's true. You can actually sign up for a free account on their website and if you go to open AI, the website is chat.openai.com/chat and we'll have links for this in our show notes below this video or on the podcast page. And Trav, if you want to go ahead and pull that up on your site, if you're listening to the audio version, certainly you're going to learn from the things we're about to teach you. But, you know, AI is a very visual thing and being able to see in real time what we're doing is is something that might be of interest to you. So let's go ahead and jump right in here with the first thing that you can do.
Yeah, and what I might suggest if you do and go and view this on YouTube, please go ahead and subscribe if you're not already and then hit that notification bell. It's going to make it quick and easy for you to discover. When we're when we're churning out new content and we're churning out about crypto every week, a nifty show every week and about AI show. So if any of those, you know, interest you crypto nfts or AI. Go ahead and tune in. You'll be able to snag that. All right. So Chatgpt can really be helpful in answering questions, right? I've asked Chatgpt, Hey, what are ten things that are the most common things that people can do to use chat? GPT One of the most useful and these are the things that Chatgpt told us were most useful. One of the big things you can do, Joel, is be helpful on answering questions. So I type this. What kind of question should we ask it?
Okay. What kind of questions? Look at that. All kinds of questions. I mean, these are just examples and these are chatgpt coming up with the examples. What's the capital of France? How do I cook spaghetti carbonara? What's the meaning of the word ubiquitous.
Right? This is almost like a chat. A chat search engine that is basically going to Google better pick it up. Right? They have this new thing coming out called Bard AI, which they've been working on AI behind the scenes. But OpenAI came out and said boom. And so a lot of people are coming over here and utilizing this. And in some cases you don't even need search engines. You just need Chatgpt. Joel The other day I was cooking up some taquitos, chicken taquitos, and I was like, okay, these are frozen. How long do I need to put them in my air? Fryer So I went on Chatgpt How long should I cook these chicken taquitos? And it goes, Well, depending on the size of your chicken taquitos, you should put it at like 380 and cook them for eight minutes. And I was like, boom, Cook them for three, eight minutes. They were delicious. They they were in my tummy really quick.
Joe Perfect taquitos. Did you ask Chatgpt how long you should digest them for?
I did not ask that. Did you? Can do. Yeah.
Chatgpt When did I eat corn?
Yeah.
When can you answer that? So what's cool is now I just asked this question. Chatgpt can be helpful on answering questions. What kind of questions can I ask? I could say I can literally click that little edit button over here and say, Ask about cooking. And so now I might just come in and it's going to generate watch how quick this generate stuff. This is live. We're not editing this at all. Look at how quick this thing just popped up. How do I make the perfect omelet? What are some healthy meal prep tips? What are some great vegan meal ideas, etcetera, etcetera? What are some things I can do? Like, Oh, I have this cumin, what the hell do I do with cumin for cooking? And like, oh, you could use Cuban to do to do so. Just that alone. Joel asking questions. That's mind blowing stuff right there. It really.
Is. And so that's a good use case for Chatgpt right there. The second one that we have is generating text. You know, if you want to write essays, if you want to create marketing copy, if you want to write emails, I used it today for a subject line for an email that I sent out talking about the bad AI show, and I've been using it on my site at World Village to create content. For example, I went into Chatgpt and I said, Write a 500 word article on the health benefits of natural sunlight, that whole vitamin D thing, and Chatgpt just went to town. But there it is. There's the article. So that might seem like a great way to create content for your blog, but let me give you a warning about that. The search engines are savvy and they can detect AI writing. So there's a couple of tools I want to show you here that I think are going to be real interesting to you. AI Writing check dawg is a great way to determine not perfectly, but how the search engines see your writing. And so I've taken a piece of that Article 183 words in particular, and I'm going to check the text on it. And look, it knows the prediction is, is that that text is written by AI. So if you put that text, use it as a blog as is. You can get a strike against you. And in other words, the search engines won't see you. So what I do is I use this paraphrasing tool at quill bot, and this is a premium that I pay for, and I can go in here and tell it. Okay, give me a new creative version of this. And when I.
Phrase this bad boy, right.
I take that same text and I put it in here and look, it says now that this is probably written by a human. So you can use chatgpt to to write blogs and other articles, but I wouldn't use it straight away.
Yeah, you don't want to take that exact content and then duplicate that content for your purposes. A lot of times you want to do what Joel just did to make it better. But what's also interesting is, you know, we've generated these type of things and generating text is something that it can do. Joel Just showcase that there's other things that this can do. Chatgpt can generate text for a variety of purposes.
Some examples.
Chat.
GPT. It is writing essays, it can do that. It can draft emails for you. It can create marketing copy like looking literally create all kinds of amazing marketing copy, social media content, product reviews, resumes, cover letters. There's so many ways that this can be utilized to generate text for you that you can then take and then put your own human ification on it, right? You can spin it, you know, type it up on your own, change some words, or use that quill bot tool that Joel just told you about.
This is the end of the search engine.
It's the evolution of the search.
Engine, right? I mean, why would you go.
To a search engine to find websites that give you what you want when you can go to a website and it tells you what you want right there.
Right, Right. So this is bad for a website owners because, you know, Chatgpt is going out there for the most part up until 2021, grabbing all of that data and pulling it into their knowledge bank and then now spitting it out to you. So you know how some people are upset about AI art generation because they're using, you know, inspiration from real digital artists and real physical artists. This is taking some of that information that's been written. However, this isn't going away. So you want to know about it because we want to stop the overlord robots ahead of time. We want to be friends with them. So always ask Chatgpt in a nice way. Please chat. GPT Thank you, chat GPT That was really nice response to GPT. Please kill me first in a painless way.
Thank you. The next useful case.
For Chatgpt is offering recommendations. Chatgpt can provide recommendations for products, services or content based on user preferences. And we've asked Chatgpt to give us some examples of this. And and we're doing it in real time right now. Travis is asking what are some great examples.
On a variety of hybrid e-commerce. They can recommend great products, movies, books, news recommendations, travel recommendations. So imagine you're going to Puerto Rico and say, Hey, I'm going to Puerto Rico. What are some of the coolest places where maybe I should go in Puerto Rico and. While I'm in Puerto Rico. What are some of the places where I should go eat while I'm there? What are the most popular destinations in that location? Imagine you no longer have to go to Yelp. You no longer have to go to TripAdvisor. You no longer have to go to any of these other sites that are giving you reviews. You can go and find these things directly. Joel It's crazy.
It's amazing. The next use case we can look at is providing customer service. I mean, it can get really frustrating trying to get help on a website and you could just type into chatgpt. I didn't use a brand name, but I said, how can I fix my router? And it gave me a list of seven different things that I could consider specifically. Now, if I want to, I can go in here and say it's a it's a Netgear model, for example. It's giving, it's saying, Hey, you're having issues with your Netgear router. Here are some things that you can do and of course you can contact them for further assistance. Now what I didn't do is get specific with, you know, the model number, but I would imagine if it's on a support website, then chatgpt has it.
So this is this is some wild stuff. So just like that, customer service, all kinds of things, troubleshooting, support issues, those types of things that you might need to be on the phone forever to be calling somebody on the dial phone or Yeah, just go on chat. GPT And maybe, just maybe, that can solve that issue for you. Also, Chatgpt can act as your personal assistant. So check this out, man. Yeah, it's going to be your own thing. Managing your own sort of your schedule help you make reservations. ET cetera. Look at all these right here that you can do. You can set reminders for important tasks. You can tell I think this is going to make Alexa and going to make hey, Siri or hey, Google, all of those are going to become obsolete unless they start figuring out a way how to put Chatgpt in their services, because this is going to eliminate the need for a lot of those.
Joel Absolutely. I mean, if you can talk to Chatgpt and and ask it to make travel reservations for you or, you know, book your open table, all of this stuff is going to get interconnected. I think this AI and Chatgpt shows us more what the Internet of Things can really be all about. And you're right, those command tools like, you know, Google, Alexa or Siri are going to be seen as primitive, right? That's going to be like the abacus to the calculator. When we think about those initial voice command technologies that we've been using, Chatgpt can also do simple language translation for you. For example, I just typed into Chatgpt. I translate from English to French. I would like to buy a case of wild boars from Australia because that's something that you might need to know in French. Well, the answer is as asked.
So there you go. Now you know.
How to be.
Wild, huh? Covered.
Well, you know, we typically will go to a translation site in order to do this. Well, now, you don't need to go to a translation site. You can translate whatever. And I would assume that you can go on for paragraphs and paragraphs that there's no end to what can be translated. So you can say, translate my article into Espanol or into Italian and it will give you the text. Now, will it be perfect? No. You know, will you perhaps need to have somebody who is native in the language check it to make sure that you're not saying something horrible? Probably a good idea, but this is a great way to have your content translated into foreign languages.
It is a great way. Yeah. And but still, probably the translation tools are a little better because you can just push that button and you can hear the language and then translate it for you. That might not be the best case, but it's something that GPT can do also. Let's go to this one. Right? Let's go to this bad boy right here. What else can GPT do? It can be used as an educational tool, right? So let's see what other kind of things that can be done here with this educational tool. It can provide course access, study materials. You can literally use this to quiz you like it can be your tutor on things. It's pretty amazing what this thing can actually do. Test preparation. Maybe you're trying to do the SAT. You know, you're trying to learn other languages. You're trying to do all these different things. You know, you can use these as a way to help you learn more effectively, and that's just completely mind blowing to me.
Chat GPT can also help with writing, which is great if you have writer's block, if you need some ideas, if you need to, you know, think about your characters, your storylines, be a world builder or just, you know, if you want to do it entirely for fun. For example, I've gone into Chatgpt and I said, Let's write an interactive story about a little boy who steps through a. Horrible to a prehistoric world. You could see it's actually writing right now. Once upon a time, there was a little boy named Max who loved adventure. Max was always curious about the world and loved exploring new places. One day, as he was playing in his backyard, he stumbled upon a strange object hidden behind a bush. As Max examined the object, he realized it was a portal to another world, and without hesitation, Max stepped through the portal and found himself transported to a prehistoric world filled with towering trees, giant ferns and creatures he had only seen in books. It is still writing right now. And think what it's going to do is it's going to complete this story to some degree. But then I can go in to Chatgpt and I can say his name isn't Max, her name is Jane. And all of a sudden it will change the story to include Jane. I could say it doesn't take place in a prehistoric world. It takes place in the world of the Jetsons and it will all of a sudden Chatgpt will start bringing in George and Judy Jetson into this story because it knows all about that.
Yeah, I want to I want to do one real quick about a haiku or like a quick poem or this is kind of fun to do, like for your for your significant other or your loved one, like write a love poem for, you know, Yulia and tell the story about this and how she does this and does that. And then it will go in and create an amazing story, right? I want to do a haiku. I'm going to do a haiku next on. Um, I.
Travis is going to start a new service called haiku for.
You. I generated ques about I.
And Nfts.
Oh, my digital tokens.
I learned to buy and sell. Nfts go mainstream.
Amazing. Amazing.
Just literally click on this again. Or I can say regenerate the response. I don't like that one. Yeah. Give me a code and art collide. I creates nfts blockchain keeps them safe regenerate. Do one more digital tokens. I creates art unique nfts in the cloud. Well, now I need.
Now I need a limerick. So tell it. Tell.
Hey, do we need to do a limerick? Limerick about what?
Write me a limerick about Nfts.
And Nfkrz And. Yeah.
Here we go.
There once was four.
Nfts back in 2021. That one year, right?
Collecting digital art with such glee, the blockchain was key. To prove ownership. You see a new era of ownership.
OG.
Okay, that one sucked. Give me.
Another one.
Did want to regenerate that one? Yeah. There once was a thing called NFT. A digital asset that you can't see. It sold for millions to buyers with billions. And now everyone wants to be a collector, just like me. One more of those because those are funny. There once was a thing called Nfts selling for millions. O Yes, indeed. From art to tweets, it's a virtual treat. A new era of ownership. We'll see. All right. Let's do the next one here, Joel. So what's also interesting is research capabilities with Chatgpt. This can streamline research for you. If you learn how to say the right prompts. This is all prompt engineering. So researching this type of stuff is great. So you can do academic research, business research, competitor research, medical research, legal research. Matter of fact, Chatgpt Joel has actually passed the law exam in several states. It's also passed the medical exam in several states. So now I am Dr. Travis Wright, Esquire because I am that.
What does that do to, you know, getting college degrees?
If if you.
Can use Chatgpt to write a.
Paper and then paraphrase it, you know, all of a sudden you're you're, you know, your thesis is written by AI and you've put it through quill bot to change it up and give it some more creativity.
This is so disruptive.
How are teachers going to even identify what's real versus not real when you're going through all these little paraphrasing mash ups and creating content that you can literally be like, Give me content that you know the style of a ninth grader, right? And make it this and make it that. And tell me about John Wilkes Booth and Lincoln and what happened that day and make it three pages long. You know, I need 1500 words, right? But take that over into quill bot, boom. You just got your essay done like, you know. But think about this. Yeah. You want to have the skills to be able to to do these things on your own. But at the point when everybody's using chatgpt and these AI tools to do it for you, if you're not using these to augment your work, then you're falling behind either way. It would seem to me.
The last use case we want to talk about is entertainment. This is highly entertaining. What if you wanted to play a game or do something else interactive with Chatgpt? Well, you can do that. In fact, what I've done right here is I've just typed in Let's play 80 music trivia, ask me five questions, one at a time, and I'll try and get the answers. So, um, which Michael Jackson album released in 1982, is the best selling album of all time? Well, it's kind of giving it away to me right there. The answer is Thriller.
Here's your don't give me any hints. I don't want no damn hints.
So the answer to this is Purple Rain.
Oh, look now. Wait, wait, wait. What happened there?
That purple rain, not purple rain. Yo, purple rain. Not purple.
Rain. I just.
Broke chatgpt.
There it is.
It's a great example of how to play a game. Let's play war games. Want to play a game?
I'm going to tell it. That's what I said.
I literally said Purple Rain. I apologize. You're right. I misunderstood your answer.
You're correct.
Okay, that's fine. We're about to get Rick rolled here.
Oh, my.
Goodness. I love this.
It's actually picking lyrics, you know? It's asking me what 1987 song by Rick Astley became a viral sensation in 2000 and led to the Internet prank known as RICKROLLING. And then it gives you a hint. The song's chorus includes the lyrics.
Never going to give you up, never.
Gonna let you.
Down.
So thanks for the game, Chad.
You know what happens at the end of the game now? We're just hung out. We're giving five questions like what happens at the end? Got to keep sharing.
I win something, perhaps.
Okay. Well, the next answer was, We are the world. We are the children. We are the ones who use artificial intelligence because we're winning. So there's a lot.
Of different ways.
That all your life.
You can use.
Chatgpt. There's ten useful ways right there. Let us know what you discover from this. We would love to hear from you guys. We don't have an email set up for the bad AI show right now, but you can email us at Bad Crypto podcast at gmail.com and I hope that you have gotten your free bed. I show founders Pass NFT. This thing is badass looking and we're giving it away for a limited time. All you got to do is go to the website I'm about to provide you with and put in your name email and your Ethereum wallet address and that's going to get you on our insights email list as well so you can know what's going on in our world. But we're going to show that.
Let me pull that one up here real quick because this thing looks really beautiful. Here it is right here. Look at this bad boy. Oh, my gosh. Oh.
My mom. Bob, look at that.
That's pretty fancy, huh, Joel?
So this will let you know that you're an OG. Go to bed. I show forward slash NFT and fill that out, and we will be dropping those. And of course, I'd love to hear from you guys. Love your feedback. Please do subscribe and click the bell. Depending where you are watching and or listening. If you are watching, then YouTube Rumble or Odyssey is the place to do that. And if you're listening on iTunes or one of the other services, then take a second to subscribe there and give us a review. Right? That's the only way that the algorithm knows that that people are listening to the show and want others to know about it. That's how they prioritize promoting and ranking these podcasts. So super important.
Yeah. And if you're too lazy to write it yourself, just go to type in chat. GPT chat.openai.com. Type in. Leave a review for the new bad AI show and tell us how great Travis and Joel is or how bad they are and whatever. And and then there's your little review and then you can take it over into quill bot to give that a try because you get a free trial. If you do that over there, mix it up, paraphrase it, copy it out, just have some fun with it. If you're not having fun, if you're just looking at this and going, Oh, great, that was really nice. Go explore, go down the rabbit hole, do it yourself. Do your own research. These are tools that we've been telling you to do your own research for almost six years, right? With bad crypto, this here is one of those tools that can really help you do your own research.
And more tools and views coming your way. Thanks again for joining us today. We'll catch you on the next episode Episode. I need I to correct my speaking on the next episode. Hopefully you have some great ideas for how you can use Chatgpt Catch you then stay bad. Oh. For.
So one of the things that's really cool that you can do is you can actually import data into this thing. So you can say, Hey, I want to get a summary of this particular article. I want to get a summary of this particular white paper, this PDF. Tell me, what is this? So if you're curious about a certain crypto or certain something, write on a PDF, plug that link in and then it will go grab the link, read it, and then it will spit out a summary from that which is so helpful to gain knowledge quickly. But then keep in mind I in this chat bot could be a little biased. It could lean one way or the other. So don't always take it as gospel. This is AI is not your god, right? Always take what they tell you and go Well, that's interesting. Is that true? And then go continue to your research. Don't take anything at face value.
