Boom Crash Opera are an Australian pop rock band formed in 1984. Initially based around the songwriting partnership of Peter Farnan and Richard Pleasance and later joined by Dale Ryder, Peter ‘Maz’ Maslen and Greg O’Connor.

Boom Crash OperaWon Countdown Australian Music Awards1986 “Best Debut Single”,Nominated for 9 ARIA awards between 1987 to 1993, Recording 6 studio albums with “Boom Crash Opera” going Gold and their second album “These Here Are Crazy Times” going Double Platinum. Also releasing 2 Eps, 1 Live album, 6 compilation albums, 1 box set and 20 singles with 15 in the Top 100. Charting hit singles were "Great Wall"(#5), "Hands up in the Air" (#16) (both 1986), “Her Charity” (1987), "Onion Skin" & “Get Out of the House”(1989), “Dancing in the Storm” (1990), "Gimme" (1994) and “Tongue Tied” (1995). In the United States "Onion Skin" reached No. 8 on the Billboard component chart Modern Rock Tracks.

The album sales are fund raising for the Australian Road Crew Association (ARCA) Welfare Program, a not-for-profit company dedicated to helping ROADIES during hard times and serious illness through their welfare program. Many artists have generously given their permission for the release of the roadies desk tapes of their live performances that make up a diverse collection of some truly unique historical releases.
