We talked earlier in the week about the result of the Bathurst 1000 Supercars race. Shell V-Power has been summonsed to a hearing over Scott McLaughlin and Alex Premat’s win in the great race after team mate Fabian Coulthard was accused of deliberately holding up the rest of the field.

Most people have an opinion on the situation and mostly not based on fact. People seem to forget that rules are what they are and not what you think they should be. But enough about that.

What really grinds my gears, pardon the pun, is that Fabian Coulthard has received death threats over the situation!

You expect the online trolls to hurl abuse at him. That seems to be par for the course these days. If you’re a gutless grub who for some ill-informed reason doesn’t like something, then you lash out with vile language and abuse from the comfort of your anonymous basement. We talk about it all the time.

But to threaten someone’s well being or life because they won a race that you weren’t even in? Get over yourself!
