Is Kids Wagging School Going to Stop Climate Change?

View descriptionShare

If you’re a regular listener to this program, you know I don’t buy into the climate hysteria. However, nor do I glibly describe climate change as a hoax. You know I’m someone who operates on evidence and facts.

The fact is, I don’t know if the planet is actually warming because there seems to be evidence both ways. I don’t know if we as humans are causing it because again, there seems to be evidence both ways.

But I am pretty sure Australia isn’t the biggest problem nor can we actually have any meaningful impact on global warming if it is indeed happening.

So, let’s turn our minds to today’s “climate strikes” where a bunch of kids wagged school and a few bludgers took the day off work. What a waste of bloody time! Why is it that whenever these lunatic lefties want to make a point, they have to annoy, inconvenience and get in the way of hard-working Australians going about their business.

Why not protest outside Parliament House if you want to blame the politicians for everything. That seems to be our National pastime. Blame the Government for everything! But whatever you do, don’t do anything to help yourself.

So here’s a challenge to those members of the Holy Church of Climate Change – what are YOU doing to change things? What are YOU doing to stop climate change? Wagging school or work is not a valid answer.

Have you stopped using coal-fired power in your home? Are you religiously exercising water conservation practices? Are you riding a push bike rather than driving a car? Have you cut back on using your TV, your iPad, your computer, your smart phone? Have you started using your own wastewater to look after your gardens?

If the answer is no to ANY of those questions and others like them, then shut up, get out of the way and let the rest of us get on with our business.
