The latest darling of the left, 16-year-old Greta Thunberg just proves that we’ve bred a generation completely devoid of personal responsibility.
The Swedish teenager admonished world leaders at the UN Climate Summit for what she sees as their role in a “mass extinction”, for destroying her future and for coming to her generation for hope. If they’re the hope of the side, God help us all.
What this shows is that it’s just not Australians that demand “the Government” read taxpayers fix every problem.
If humans are driving Climate Change, then you know who’s going to fix it? Individuals. Individuals can change their lifestyles. They can change their behaviours. They can make an effort in their own lives. The problem is, they don’t and won’t.
By blaming Government or expecting Government to fix a problem, what we’re really saying is we want them to legislate and regulate how we live our lives. Don’t they do enough of that already?
It’s a bit like expecting Government to help people to give up smoking but complaining when they make it hard to smoke.
If you think a difference needs to be made, then make it yourself. Don’t expect the taxpayer to fund your crusade.
