Finally, we’re going to have a review into the family law system.

Finally, we’re going to have a review into the family law system, but is it doomed to fail before it begins?

Pauline Hanson is taking credit, claiming she’s “won the fight” for a review, but it’s not like the Government put up a barrier, despite Labor and the Greens opposing it.

However, the rhetoric and political spin has started already!

Pauline Hanson has accused women of making up domestic violence claims in order to get custody of their children. Well that’s a hell of a generalisation isn’t it? Particularly when one woman is murdered every day in Australia by a current or former partner!

On the flip-side, domestic violence campaigner Rosie Batty has called on Labor and the Greens to block the inquiry saying it is "completely unacceptable" for "politicians with their own agendas" to lead parliamentary investigations. So who should run it? Someone else with a different agenda?

So what do we do, close our eyes and walk away?
