Unpredictable weather has become the most disruptive cause of recent delays in the construction of a wider sidewalk on South Pleasant Valley Road over Longhorn Dam. Construction crews had built more than a mile of a new shared-use path, along with about 5,000 feet of sidewalk extensions, as of Friday, said Darryl Haba, an Austin Public Works Department project manager.
